CURATORIAL STATEMENT
HEN stands as a pivotal work within the CID シド universe. Here, the artist deepens his investigation into identity, fracture, and ritual. The samurai figure—reconstructed through CID シド’s signature geometric language—embodies a discipline that is not external or combative, but deeply emotional.

The angular planes that compose the face form a map of internal tension: areas of rupture, zones of quiet repair, fragments that reveal more than they conceal. The fan introduces a gesture of control and containment—an object functioning simultaneously as mask, boundary, and refuge.

The palette, intentionally fractured, moves between restrained golds, disciplined blues, and a layered red that breathes through its strokes. The mixed-media execution—oil and acrylic—adds density, vibration, and temporal depth. Each layer records a pulse; each irregularity becomes a living trace of process.
