Ricardo CID doesn’t paint portraits. He paints presences.

For decades he built visual universes professionally — brand identity, corporate image, narrative design. He learned to understand the image as a weapon: symbol, structure, impact. That wasn’t a detour. It was the foundation.

Then came the point of no return: stop painting to fit in. Start painting to exist.

From that decision, CID シド was born — a universe where each piece stops being a painting and becomes an entity. MIRA. AURELIAN. KLYBO. KAYOK. Characters that don’t illustrate — they inhabit.

His work moves between contemporary neo-expressionist figuration and humanized geometry, built from raw gesture, texture, and controlled rupture. No algorithms. No perfect corrections. Imperfection is not a flaw — it is the only honest language.

Works by CID シド have entered private collections across Europe and beyond, and have been exhibited at Art Experience 2026, Akelarre Art Fair 2025, galleries in Madrid and Barcelona, and are now on permanent display at People Art Gallery.
