When I began this piece, I felt the need to explore the connection between humanity and the masks we wear in our everyday lives — the expressions we hide, the emotions we keep in the shadows, the armor we use to protect ourselves.

I wanted to express a duality: the solidity of a face that appears sculpted in metal, and at the same time, the fragility revealed in each brushstroke.

The worn, almost liquid bronze texture symbolizes the passage of time and the erosion of what we believe to be unbreakable.
Its hollow eyes are not empty — they are a mirror for the viewer, inviting them to project their own story onto the piece.

As I painted, it felt as though every stroke uncovered something hidden, something that lies beneath the surface.
The metallic tones contrast with the pale background, making the mask seem as though it's emerging from nothingness — caught between two worlds: the visible and the emotional.
