About the work

A motionless gaze that speaks without words. “Lior” is the face of that which cannot be named. Fragmented, dissonant, charged with internal vibrations, this work encapsulates a presence defined not by its form, but by its energy.
The red burns like raw flesh. The oranges, ochres, and yellows push from within, while muted blues and violet shades whisper cold and contradiction. There is no respite in his lines: the black cuts, delimits, represses… but never fully manages to contain the latent tension.
The face, on the verge of disappearing or revealing itself, seems to emerge from another emotional dimension. It doesn't represent someone, but something: a vision, a memory, an eternal moment. "Lior" doesn't belong to the physical world, but to the symbolic one. He's an open channel. An apparition. A sign.
It's haunting beauty, abstract magnetism, a visual ritual. A work that observes, that questions without speaking, and that only reveals its truth to those who dare to stay.

From the artist's studio

I painted "Lior" in a moment of internal saturation, when everything I held inside was begging to come out without any concrete form. I didn't want to paint a face, but a sensation. I used oil to give it emotional weight, and acrylic to allow the gesture to continue. Each line was an interruption, each color a reaction. I didn't sketch anything. I just let the impulse decide. "Lior" is a piece I didn't seek out; it emerged on its own when I stopped thinking.
