When I painted this piece, I wanted to capture the duality between the ethereal and the tangible.
The image emerged as a reflection of the fragility of identity and the passage of time upon matter .
As brushstrokes and textures began to take form, I found myself engaged in a dialogue between what is shown and what is hidden within the layers of the human being.

It wasn't a fast process — each stroke aimed to give depth and realism to a figure that seems to emerge from a distant past, as if it had been sculpted by time itself .

The silver and green highlights seem to bring life to petrified skin, as if memory and experience had crystallized on its surface.
There are no empty eyes here — only a deep abyss of introspection , challenging the viewer to ask:
Who are we, once time has transformed us?
